How many people when asked &#8220;how are you?&#8221; reply &#8220;very well thanks&#8221; or &#8220;fine thank you&#8221; which is actually far from the <strong>truth</strong>. Not many of us really are very well or fine. Many of us are often sad, depressed, stressed, angry, or resentful and much more.</p>
<div>
<p>While I applaud everyone who works hard at staying positive I feel that the times we are in now are all about being <strong>authentic to ourselves</strong>, and others, and this requires true honestly. We can no longer pretend that we are something that we are not.</p>
<p>If you are one of those people who is <strong>pretending</strong> to be happy and positive but have <strong>repressed negative emotions</strong> such as anger, resentment and fear, somewhere at some time all that negative energy inside you is going to come out and will effect either your <strong>physical health, your spiritual health, or your emotional health,</strong> and possibly all three.</p>
<p>This is often the reason behind a person who suddenly looses their temper over a small thing. That small thing is the tipping point that releases some of the build up of the suppressed negativity <wbr>within.</wbr></p>
<div>
<p>Living in an honest way is <strong>taking responsibility for ourselves,</strong> in every moment, and being brutally honest about how we are feeling and doing something to change ourselves.</p>
<p>Over the years I have met many spiritual people who believe themselves to be in a great emotional place, <wbr>believe themselves to be loving and evolved beings when the truth is, they are a long way from this state. By the way I was one of those spiritual people, before I began to admit to myself that I was actually not who I was pretending to be!</wbr></p>
<p>We need to face our fears honestly and deal with them, and heal them. It is only then that we can begin to become our authentic self, and by learning to recognise the truth about ourselves on a daily basis, we can move forward, change and evolve that we can then actually get to a point when asked how we are we can respond by saying&#8230; <strong>&#8220;absolutely fantastic thanks&#8221; and mean it!</strong></p>

Feeling <strong>empty and lost without it</strong>. Wanting someone to <strong>give us love</strong> and fill us up.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, that’s not usually how life works. In order to be truly loved &amp; to be able to completely love another, we must<strong> learn how to love ourselves!</strong></p>
<p>Until you know how to love yourself there will be an<strong> inner war</strong> going on that divides your energy and <strong>sabotages</strong> your efforts to move toward happiness.</p>
<p>I think most of us would be shocked if we could hear our inner dialogue from day to day played back to us. We would see just how many times a day we judge or criticize ourselves harshly.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;There is something wrong with me. I’m really messed up.&#8221; </em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;I’m bad.&#8221;</em></p>

<p><em>&#8221; I don’t know what I’m doing.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;I’m not (good, smart, attractive, rich, etc.) enough.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;I should have (fill in the blank).&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;I’m not as (good, smart, attractive, successful, etc.) as that person.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;I’ll never get that job.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em> &#8221;I don’t deserve to be happy. I don’t deserve to be loved. I don’t deserve to have what I want.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em> &#8221;That person doesn&#8217;t like me. No one likes me.&#8221;</em></p>
<h3><span style="color: #00008b;">The Power Of Words</span></h3>
<p><strong>Dr. Masaru Emoto</strong> shows the powerful <strong>effect that our thoughts , words &amp; feelings  have on us</strong>. In his research he attached <strong>written words to containers of water</strong>, such as “Thank you,” “I love you,” and “You fool!” Then he froze the water and took photos of the water crystals with a microscopic camera. In addition to using written words, he varied his experiments with thoughts, music and pictures.</p>
<p>The results were amazing!</p>
<p>In every case where there was a <strong>positive energy</strong> used, through written word, a verbal statement, or a picture, the <img class="alignright  wp-image-721" title="effects of thinking &amp; words on water - bucks" src="http://www.natalielewis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/love-caption-300x239.png" alt="effects of thinking &amp; words on water - bucks" width="126" height="100" />photos of the <strong>frozen crystals were pretty</strong>. The water crystals formed into intricate symmetrical patterns.</p>
<p>On the other hand, in every case where the <strong>energy was negative</strong>, the crystals were <strong>small, misshapen and deformed!</strong></p>
<h3><strong>So imagine the effects of the negativity hurled at yourself until you learn how to love yourself.</strong></h3>

<div>There are many types and severities of depression with a wide variety of symptoms.</div>

<p>You cannot beat depression with will power and neither can you &#8220;pull yourself together&#8221;. There is no simple way to overcoming it and it takes time but there are things you can do <strong>beat depression.</strong></p>
<p>To beat depression requires action but start with <strong>small steps</strong>. Only do those things that you know you can do!</p>
<p>Begin with a couple of <strong>easy</strong> <strong>goals</strong>, and <strong>be patient with yourself</strong>. It is not easy but you can get there step by step.</p>
<p><strong>Take one day at a time.</strong> If you feel walking would help just start by going around the block. <strong>Be kind to yourself</strong> and reward yourself when you do manage to achieve one of your goals.</p>
<p>Simple lifestyle changes such as <strong>exercising</strong> every day, eating <strong>healthy food</strong>, avoiding the urge to isolate yourself, making sure you get enough<strong> rest and relaxation</strong> can all help.</p>
<p>There are <strong>natural supplements</strong> that can help, and sometimes listening to <strong>music</strong> can help <strong>lift your energy.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Meditation</strong> can also help over a period of time.</p>

<p><em>How will it help me?  </em>Meditation will help <strong>lower your stress levels</strong>, lower your <strong>blood pressure</strong>, lower your <strong>heart rate</strong> and much more.</p>

<p>In the meditation process you are consciously reconnecting to the life force energy in your awake state, which is when we are most stressed.</p>
<p>When we are awake we are normally at our most stressed, and this is when we punish our systems.</p>
<p>Every time you connect to life force energy whether it is through meditation or <a href="http://www.natalielewis.co.uk/reiki-healing/">hands on healing</a> or other techniques your body, mind and spirit starts to relax. You could say that you are <strong>re filling source energy</strong> within you when you meditate, just as when you have a <a href="http://www.natalielewis.co.uk/reiki-healing/">Reiki</a> or <a href="http://www.natalielewis.co.uk/reiki-healing/">hands on healing</a> the practitioner is channelling that energy to you and you <strong>take whatever your body needs.</strong></p>
<p>During the process of meditation the <strong>slower deeper breaths</strong> taken are also very good for us and even if you cannot find time to meditate every day just taking some slow deep breaths for a few minutes will help.</p>
<p>There are a many thoughts on how to meditate, when how often and for how long.</p>
<p>My personal opinion is daily for about 15 minutes, and there are some very simply ways to begin&#8230;</p>

Life is very stressful and whoever you are, whatever you are doing it doesn&#8217;t really make a lot of difference. Everyone is stressed by their lives in one way or another. Stress is very much part of all our lives in 2012&#8230;</p>
<div>Finding ways to de-stress and relax is <strong>essential to our long term health</strong>, because if we do not look after ourselves properly, if stress is ignored for any length of time, the chances are that we will become ill and can often develop chronic health problems simply because we ignored all the warning signs that we were not coping with stress. Early signs of  high stress are:</div>

<p>There are many different ways to deal with stress and we need to find the ways that work best for us as individuals.  It takes commitment to change your stress levels because essentially you will have to do enough for yourself in different ways that work to help you feel calmer and more relaxed during each day. Feeling stressed is <strong>your body signalling that you are not in balance</strong> and that you need to change your ways!</p>

<p>Eating healthy<strong> pure food</strong>, adding lots of <strong>raw vegetables</strong> to your diet, get enough <strong>sleep</strong>, take regular<strong> exercise</strong> and make sure that you are <strong>breathing properl</strong>y. There are lots of ways to relax before you go to bed including drinking <strong>camomile tea. </strong></p>
<div>Simplifying your life, and making space for walks in nature and listening to soothing music can help too, as can meditation and yoga.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word which mean Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us.</p>
<p>The<strong> Usui</strong> system based on an ancient Tibetan Buddhist technique, developed in Japan in the late 19th or early 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui (1865–1926).</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-470" title="what is reiki bucks" src="http://www.natalielewis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/green-candles-flower-150x150.jpg" alt="what is reiki bucks" width="150" height="150" />Dr Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.</p>
<p>Reiki traditionally is a hands on form of <strong>natural</strong> <strong>energy healing,</strong> however a hands off approach can also be taken depending on the clients preference.</p>
<h4><strong>How does Reiki work?</strong></h4>
<p>Reiki is the spiritual life force, or vital spiritual energy, said to reside in all living things so this is a therapy in which the therapist channels this energy from him or herself into the patient by the gentle laying on of hands, to activate the <strong>natural healing</strong> processes of the client’s body and restore <strong>physical</strong> and <strong>emotional well-being.</strong></p>
<p>This healing is <strong>safe, gentle</strong> and can be very powerful. It will help your body <strong>self heal</strong> and also works on every level to balance <strong>body, mind and spirit. </strong></p>
<p>People often describe their healing session as being wonderfully <strong>relaxing </strong>and that they can feel a lovely<strong> warmth.<br />
</strong></p>
<h4><strong>What happens in a Reiki Session?</strong></h4>
<p>During a session you will be asked to lie down on a <strong>therapy bed</strong> but will not be asked to remove any clothing except for things which could restrict your breathing or comfort.</p>
<p>Treatment is given by the positioning of  hands gently on or over your body in a pre-determined sequence of hand positions, spending several minutes holding each position. These hand positions are <strong>non-intrusive</strong>, can cover both the front and back of the body and are sometimes varied to give Reiki energy to areas where it is specifically needed.</p>
<p>You may feel sensations such as <strong>heat, tingling, coolness or throbbing</strong> under the practitioners’ hands as the energy flows, or in other parts of your body, or you may feel very little. Most commonly people experience a sense of <strong>well being, calm and relaxation</strong>,  fall asleep or feel energized during. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.</p>
